About the Role

Support company facilities and operations, including inspections of property and buildings, in a 24/7 operation. This role involves ensuring safety and security across the premises.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address safety issues, or contact Building Maintenance/Loss Prevention Manager.
• Maintain areas around Guard Shack, Gates, and Corporate Building during snow/ice events, including a path to the generator.
• Observe propane station operations for safe dispensing.
• Observe personnel and company trucks/vehicles for security and safety reasons.
• Periodically patrol buildings and grounds.
• Record data on unusual occurrences, property damage, or malfunctioning equipment.
• Sign transfer trucks in/out and log rail cars.
• Monitor video surveillance system and obtain footage as needed.
• Identify trespassers, address issues, and notify authorities of suspicious activity.
• Address parking issues.
• Check in/out vendor trucks/vehicles and provide directions.
• Handle onsite emergencies and provide traffic control.
• Handle emergency phone calls from Branches and notify appropriate departments/management.
• Notify EMS/Police/Fire in case of emergencies.
• Respond to alarm calls and address as needed.
• Assist with incidents.
• Mentor fellow employees.
• Spot check inventory.
• Assist customers in the seasonal area when not alone.
• Check customer propane tanks for expiration and condition when not alone.
• Give directions to customers and vendors.
• Complete assigned projects.
