About the Role

The Reward Director is responsible for shaping and delivering a global reward strategy that supports business performance, attracts and retains diverse talent, and ensures a fair, competitive employee experience. This role provides strategic leadership across pay, incentives, governance, and benchmarking, partnering with senior leadership to drive sustainable workforce investment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, governance, and improvement of global reward programmes including annual pay reviews, bonuses, AIP, and SIP.
  • Design and enhance reward frameworks, policies, and pay structures to support attraction, retention, and engagement.
  • Manage annual compensation activities to ensure high-quality delivery and positive employee experience.
  • Model and track pay and AIP budgets in collaboration with Finance.
  • Conduct reward benchmarking and market analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee grading, job evaluation, and job architecture to ensure internal equity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, People & Culture, and Finance on pay and incentive matters.
  • Prepare and deliver reward analysis and governance materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead reward project teams and manage team members to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Balance global consistency with local market requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external reward providers and advisors.
  • Contribute to Remuneration Committee papers and related matters.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading Reward, Compensation, or Total Rewards programmes in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing reward strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in compensation management, incentive design, and reward governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence senior leadership.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage change in matrixed organisations.
  • Experience leading, developing, and empowering high-performing teams.
