Responsibilities
- Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Check and approve operational quality of system equipment.
- Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
- Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
- Interpret customers’ needs and assist in and facilitate resolution regardless of whose job the responsibility falls under.
- Install and upgrade system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
- Support a wide range of company products according to technical documentation and company guidelines to ensure that customer’s equipment operates properly.
- Demonstrate equipment operation and specification to customer according to Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP).
- Advise customers in ordering spare parts or on service requests such as emergency and contractual services.
- Advise customers on where to find Customer Technical Bulletins and why they are important.
- Input detailed records of installation and upgrade work performed into company information systems.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and safety according to VMS guidelines and customer regulations.
- Perform parts inventory and ordering for assigned installation, including replenishing spare parts kit, short shipment and return consigned parts appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain technical documentation regarding operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance and development of products to improve installation efficiency.
- Report regularly by means of FSR’s, time sheets, expense reports, etc. to ensure accurate company statistical data on customer-oriented activities is available.
- Complete all required installation documentation that pertains to the job being completed and update all requested and/or required data for data tracking purposes.
- Use prescribed problem-resolution escalation procedures and request technical assistance when necessary in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years related experience or Associates or bachelor’s degree in related program preferred
- Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF Energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
- Proficient in the use of Test Equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
- Close to airport
- Basic networking skills in order to integrate the machine onto the customer server
- Knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC based systems
- Customer focused attitude
- Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience with RF Energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
- Advanced knowledge of networks and networking techniques
- Basic computer usage and debugging skills
- Basic understanding of imaging systems
- Desire to build a career and develop robust skill sets
- Reside within 1 hour of a major airport in U.S. in Zone Location
- Ability to TRAVEL for 10 Days and then have 4 days off throughout the year.
- Company vehicle provided - Can be used for Personal Use
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
- Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
- Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during employment in this position.
- Requirements may include: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license or passport), Criminal background checks, Drug screens, Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), Annual TB testing, Healthcare trainings.
