About the Role

Responsibilities
- Assessing risk for individual life insurance, critical illness, and disability insurance applications to ensure fair, appropriate, and competitive underwriting decisions.
- Analyzing medical and non-medical information to identify potential risks or issues.
- Applying underwriting guidelines and procedures to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in completing underwriting tasks and processes.
- Communicating with stakeholders to obtain additional information or clarify matters related to underwriting decisions.
Requirements
- Recognized for analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with a holistic approach to overall risk assessment.
- Holds a college diploma or university degree in health sciences or a related field.
- Holds, or is actively pursuing, the FLMI or LOMA designation.
- Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience in life insurance, critical illness, and disability insurance.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
