About the Role

Develop and review Itineraries for the Exlpora Journeys fleet, optimizing for nautical, commercial, timing, and mileage aspects while considering engine configuration and fuel consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, study, and analysis of future Itinerary strategies.
  • Identify the best possible Itinerary from a nautical perspective using professional tools like Navigate.
  • Prepare new Itineraries as required.
  • Adjust or modify Itineraries not in line with Company Standards.
  • Maintain and update Navigate software and verify its functionality.
  • Maintain and update C-Route software, including the Port Database and reporting anomalies.
  • Prepare Itinerary Maps for commercial purposes.
  • Verify that the fleet sends all necessary routes and cross-check information, including the Ship’s Voyage Schedule.
  • Manage the Common Route Database.
  • Monitor the alignment of the Standard Route with the Route used by the ship.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly fuel performance and nautical data analysis presentations.
  • Develop fuel budget reports and presentations to support financial planning and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Experience sailing onboard as a 2nd Officer or higher, preferably within the Cruise Industry.
  • Knowledge of Nautical planning strategies and correlated activities is preferred.
  • Excellent listener and proactive learner, willing to increase knowledge in planning methodology, technology, and ship performance management.
  • Excellent analytical, dynamical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in documentation preparation and the ability to utilize data efficiently.
  • Excellent English and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Availability to work outside typical office hours, including weekends and bank holidays, as the job follows fleet deployment.
  • Existing right to live and work in the UK is preferred.
