About the Role
Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer to support its electrical discipline and ensure the success of diverse and innovative projects. The role involves leading and supporting the design of electrical power and control systems for complex projects, performing calculations, equipment sizing, and code-informed coordination.
Responsibilities
- Design and plan electrical power systems for commercial, advanced technology, mission critical, education, government, healthcare, and science & technology projects.
- Design and specify power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Prioritize engineering project team labor to meet deadlines and track project budgets.
- Collaborate with external team members, including architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
- Coordinate with internal team members of other disciplines for a cohesive design.
- Review MEP systems designed by others.
- Ensure high-quality work from the electrical design team through proper quality control.
- Train and mentor electrical designers to develop their skills.
- Act as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and lead electrical engineer.
- Support Project Managers in overseeing project budgets, schedules, and team coordination.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering PE license.
- Proficiency in REVIT.
- Experience in sustainable design.
- Must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Sacramento or San Francisco, CA area.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
