About the Role
As a Senior Marketing Manager at Penguin Michael Joseph, you will lead ambitious, high-profile marketing campaigns for a diverse list of non-fiction and fiction titles. You will act as a senior voice within the team, shaping publishing strategy and collaborating with authors, agents, and internal departments to maximize sales and audience growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for frontlist and bestselling backlist titles.
- Develop creative, audience-first marketing strategies based on consumer insights and market trends.
- Manage marketing budgets to ensure campaigns meet commercial objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, agents, publishers, and external partners.
- Identify partnership, influencer, and brand opportunities to expand campaign reach.
- Collaborate across Editorial, Publicity, Sales, and Design departments to champion titles.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading large-scale marketing campaigns in book publishing or related creative industries.
- Proven experience working with high-profile authors, talent, or brands.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and delivering commercially successful campaigns.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and an audience-first marketing approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence across teams.
- Experience working across both non-fiction and fiction titles is preferred.
