About the Role

The ProviderTrust Data Warehouse Engineer will build and maintain data pipelines and warehouse models, transforming data into trustworthy, queryable information. This role is responsible for the transformation layer between operational systems and data consumers, reporting to the Director of Data Services.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL processes for ingesting application, client, and third-party data.
  • Maintain third-party data pipelines behind data products, respond to data escalations, and improve processes.
  • Partner with dataset owners to ensure curated data accuracy and currency.
  • Design and maintain transformations, materialized views, and aggregates in SQL and Python.
  • Design processes and metrics to assess, maintain, and improve data quality.
  • Detect source-system and business-process changes impacting analytical data and partner with stakeholders for correction.
  • Build data models to feed reporting, BI, and emerging use cases.

Requirements

  • Curiosity and initiative to learn undocumented systems and take ownership of work.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Several years building and maintaining production data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse structures, models, and concepts (dimensional modeling, materialized views, transformation layers).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve production data issues independently.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training.
