About the Role
Madison Health is seeking PRN Security Officers to provide armed direct and indirect interventions and patrols in a healthcare setting. This role involves communicating with stakeholders to raise awareness of safety concerns, actively patrolling hospital grounds, and responding rapidly to emergencies to mitigate and resolve encounters.
Responsibilities
- Routinely patrols all areas of the hospital facility and communicates any noticed discrepancies.
- Engages in confrontations when necessary, using empathy and assertiveness.
- Performs physical intervention using the minimum amount of force necessary to ensure safety.
- Conducts initial investigations and reports on significant incidents.
- Serves as a primary responder for the hospital hazardous materials decontamination team.
- Acts as a first responder to facility emergencies and assists staff, patients, and visitors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of security or first responder experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- OPOTC Private Security Twenty (20) Hours Firearms Certification or Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Certificate required.
