About the Role
Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking an experienced scout to join its scouting department. The role involves monitoring and identifying players within specific regions across Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Work unsociable hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Identify players through live observation and video analysis.
- Provide comprehensive scout reports on players within assigned remits, with detailed reports on key targets.
- Manage time effectively for video analysis and live scouting travel.
- Maintain up-to-date records, reports, and player lists using the club's data management system.
- Attend and observe tournaments as directed to monitor players or teams.
- Serve as an additional point of contact within the scouting and analysis department.
- Communicate weekly to discuss games, gathered information, tickets, and upcoming schedules.
- Attend department meetings.
- Build relationships within the local community and catchment area, representing the Club professionally.
- Perform other duties as required by the line manager.
- Uphold and promote the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Equal Opportunities.
Requirements
- Scotland Based (Desirable)
- FA Level 2 in Talent ID (Desirable)
- IT Competent (Essential)
- Valid Driving Licence (Essential)
- Up-to-date with relevant child protection guidelines and hold relevant certificates (Essential)
- Minimum 1 year experience scouting for a professional club (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Local Catchment Area (Essential)
