About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive School Programme Administration Manager to support the delivery of high-quality academic administration. This leadership role involves overseeing a team of Programme Administrators and managing core administrative processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and responsiveness to student and academic needs. We are recruiting three managers, each focusing on distinct areas: Foundation, Social Sciences, and Creative programmes. You will collaborate with Deans, Course Directors, and academic teams to enhance administrative practices and student experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, structure, and ongoing support.
- Act as a key point of contact for students, academic staff, and lecturers, responding to queries professionally.
- Support teaching delivery through timetabling coordination, cover arrangements, and communications.
- Oversee key administrative processes such as interruptions of study and course changes.
- Ensure the Virtual Learning Environment (Canvas) is accurately maintained.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with academic regulations, policies, and governance requirements.
- Support the preparation of exam boards, audits, and reporting processes.
- Analyze and report on student data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in a student or programme administration environment, ideally within Higher Education.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong working knowledge of data systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Confidence in interpreting and applying complex regulations and policies accurately.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and sensitively with a diverse student and staff population.
- A detail-oriented, methodical approach, combined with adaptability and a willingness to improve processes.
- Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK.
