About the Role
Permutable is building intelligent systems to automate market analysis using advanced NLP and multi-LLM frameworks. The goal is to accelerate financial information processing and decision-making for financial analysts. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the founder and a core team of engineers in an ambitious startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust software systems, including scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and serving financial data.
- Engineer cloud-native solutions on AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, Redshift, etc.).
- Automate deployments using GitHub Actions and Pulumi.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on innovation, strategy, and planning.
- Take ownership of code that shapes the core platform and reaches production rapidly.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
- Expertise in Python with strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), automated testing, and monitoring.
- Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Startup mindset: proactive, resourceful, ambitious, eager to learn, and comfortable with multiple roles.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems, AWS services, or AI/LLM applications is a plus.
