About the Role

The Loren Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Host to ensure guests are immediately greeted and welcomed, manage reservations, and facilitate communication between guests and front-of-house staff. This role is crucial in providing an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the hotel's understated luxury and curated Austin culture.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests immediately with a warm smile and attend to their seating needs.
• Use the guest's name during interactions.
• Follow procedures for accepting reservations and assign tables to servers.
• Support servers and wait staff by ensuring guest needs are met, such as providing water and drinks.
• Assist in clearing tables and organizing silverware as time allows.
• Thank guests as they leave and inquire about their experience.
• Convey any necessary information to the Restaurant Manager.
• Encourage guests to complete online reviews.
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to embody and impart the Loren’s unique culture to all associates.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Must be able to stand at least 90% of the time.
