About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and bring structure to an excellent small animal practice in Berlin. This role combines the responsibilities of a Veterinary Assistant (TFA) with practice management duties, focusing on optimizing structures, processes, and budgets while ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Support the efficient implementation of the service offering and economic management of the practice in close coordination with practice management.
- Initiate optimizations in organizational structures and integrate them into daily practice workflows.
- Manage the time tracking system.
- Monitor and control the budget.
- Support a healthy practice culture and promote open communication within the team.
- Advise and support practice management in strategic and economic development.
- Develop and expand organizational structures, processes, and optimal personnel planning.
- Assist in daily practice operations as a TFA, including patient care, assistance, and all related veterinary tasks.
Requirements
- Completed training as a Veterinary Assistant (TFA), ideally with additional business management qualifications or further training as a Practice Manager.
- Sound professional experience in the veterinary or healthcare sector; experience in managing practices, clinics, or medical centers is advantageous.
- Experience in developing and expanding organizational structures and processes.
- Good IT skills and very good MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and payroll is desirable but not a prerequisite.
- Strong empathy towards clients, colleagues, and animals.
- Strong communication, service orientation, and organizational skills.
- Structured, careful, and goal-oriented way of working.
- Team spirit, initiative, and a good deal of openness.

- We are a small animal practice in Berlin-Hermsdorf, established in 1997, focusing on comprehensive care including internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and alternative medicine like laser therapy.
- We pride ourselves on high quality standards and continuous improvement.
- Our team consists of 3 veterinarians, 5 veterinary assistants, and 2 trainees.
- We are located next to the Tegeler Fließ, a beautiful recreational area in Berlin.
