About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team and bring structure to an excellent small animal practice in Berlin. This role combines the responsibilities of a Veterinary Assistant (TFA) with practice management duties, focusing on optimizing structures, processes, and budgets while ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the efficient implementation of the service offering and economic management of the practice in close coordination with practice management.
  • Initiate optimizations in organizational structures and integrate them into daily practice workflows.
  • Manage the time tracking system.
  • Monitor and control the budget.
  • Support a healthy practice culture and promote open communication within the team.
  • Advise and support practice management in strategic and economic development.
  • Develop and expand organizational structures, processes, and optimal personnel planning.
  • Assist in daily practice operations as a TFA, including patient care, assistance, and all related veterinary tasks.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a Veterinary Assistant (TFA), ideally with additional business management qualifications or further training as a Practice Manager.
  • Sound professional experience in the veterinary or healthcare sector; experience in managing practices, clinics, or medical centers is advantageous.
  • Experience in developing and expanding organizational structures and processes.
  • Good IT skills and very good MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting and payroll is desirable but not a prerequisite.
  • Strong empathy towards clients, colleagues, and animals.
  • Strong communication, service orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Structured, careful, and goal-oriented way of working.
  • Team spirit, initiative, and a good deal of openness.

  • Our team consists of 3 veterinarians, 5 veterinary assistants, and 2 trainees.
  • We are located next to the Tegeler Fließ, a beautiful recreational area in Berlin.
