About the Role

Medaca is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join the team. This Canadian-based role supports technology solutions for three business units in Canada, representing approximately 70 employees. The position is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and implementing software solutions that improve operational efficiency, system functionality, and user experience. Reporting to the Director of Product Development, Canada, this role works remotely while collaborating closely with internal teams and end-users. The initial focus will be on one core platform, with future cross-training anticipated.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, supporting, and implementing software solutions

Collaborating closely with internal teams and end-users
Writing, editing, and debugging computer programs to achieve desired output
Maintaining confidentiality and following company requirements for privacy, information security, and secure handling of data
Demonstrating and promoting a positive team-oriented environment
Following all company policies and procedures

Requirements

A minimum of five years related experience in web development
Extensive knowledge in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Bootstrap, Git, MVC and service oriented architecture is required
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, AWS IaC and GitHub is a must
Must have expert knowledge of data structures, computer logic, and computer program design methods and techniques
Must have experience working within an agile development environment
Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed
