About the Role
As an Event Sales Specialist on the Core team, you will own the full sales cycle for corporate outings, social events, and organizational gatherings for groups of 13 up to 100 guests. This role involves building pipeline, working your territory, and growing lasting relationships. A camera-first policy is in effect for all video calls, requiring cameras to be on and associates to present themselves professionally.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound leads and outbound outreach for groups of 13 up to 100 guests across corporate, social, and organizational events
- Own the full booking cycle - from first contact through signed contract
- Match every group to the right venue, package, and experience for their needs and budget
- Work high volume across multiple event types without letting anything fall through the cracks
- Own all local business outreach in your territory - building relationships with companies, organizations, and community groups
- Prospect, develop, and grow new accounts to consistently build pipeline beyond inbound leads
- Work toward a quarterly quota, paid monthly on a tiered basis
- Pass leads under 12 guests to the Call Center and earn 15% quota credit
- Close leads passed from other segments and earn 85% quota credit
- Lead BEO meetings for your events
- Partner with venue ops teams to ensure seamless execution from contract to celebration
- Own retention outreach across all group sizes
- Follow up post-event to strengthen relationships and build your repeat booking pipeline
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Background in sales, hospitality, or event planning
- Group or event sales experience is a strong plus
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline across multiple event types simultaneously
- Confident prospector - comfortable picking up the phone and going after new business
- Strong communicator who builds rapport quickly and knows how to close
- Feedback-driven and eager to grow - uses coaching to get better
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Adaptable - able to handle different client needs
