About the Role
As a Data Scientist in the Public Sector, you will guide public sector clients through the entire lifecycle of AI solutions, from initial use-case ideation to productive implementation, contributing to the digital transformation of federal, state, and local government entities.
Responsibilities
- Advise public sector clients on the design and development of data-driven AI and data science solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end solution lifecycle, including data preparation, modeling, and integration into existing IT systems.
- Design scalable data architectures and end-to-end data pipelines.
- Ensure data governance, cloud governance, quality, integrity, and security in AI solutions.
- Apply modern methods such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI.
- Develop and validate practical AI and automation solutions for public administration challenges.
- Prepare analysis results for stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
- Support workshops, use-case definitions, and data-driven strategy development.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a comparable field.
- Practical experience in processing and analyzing large, heterogeneous datasets.
- Experience in architecture and development of data-driven solutions for complex use cases.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Willingness to travel.
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance check (SÜG).
