About the Role
The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) role is designed to provide the skills and company knowledge necessary to independently manage a financially viable dental office. OMTs engage in a structured development program involving curriculum completion and practical application, with the expectation of transitioning to independent management within 4-6 months.
Responsibilities
- Model company culture, values, and operational practices
- Assess, hire, and retain team members through training and coaching
- Resolve staff and patient issues using logical and effective solutions
- Execute the operational model to meet office imperatives
- Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth
- Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budgets
- Maintain proficiency in cash management and accounting protocols
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Manage people-related functions including performance evaluations and compensation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies
- Report weekly to the Regional Manager on accomplishments and performance goals
- Develop and implement office success plans and operational protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of related work experience in operational management
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Reliable means of transportation for daily travel to multiple offices
- Ability to travel to multiple offices per day, sometimes on short notice
