About the Role

The Pre-Treatment Team Leader will support the Pre-Treatment Superintendent Radiographer in the day-to-day leadership of the pre-treatment service. This role ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of CT simulation, treatment planning preparation, and associated radiotherapy planning pathways. The position promotes patient-centered care and an excellent patient experience, while ensuring imaging protocols and simulation techniques meet agreed standards.

Responsibilities

Support the Pre-Treatment Superintendent Radiographer in the day-to-day leadership of the pre-treatment service.
Provide clinical and technical expertise to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of CT simulation, treatment planning preparation, and associated radiotherapy planning pathways.
Promote patient-centered care and offer an excellent patient experience.
Ensure imaging protocols and simulation techniques are delivered to agreed standards.
Supervise Senior Radiographers.
Support service development.
Maintain quality assurance standards.
Contribute to the pre-treatment planning of complex radiotherapy techniques, including SABR.
Ensure compliance with departmental policies and IR(ME)R regulations.

Requirements

BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
HCPC registration.
Extensive clinical experience as a senior radiographer or Team Leader level.
Experience in Pre-Treatment/CT simulation.
Advanced knowledge of patient management systems.
Experience with Eclipse TPS and Aria is desirable.
IV contrast competencies.
