About the Role

The Pre-Treatment Team Leader will support the Pre-Treatment Superintendent Radiographer in the day-to-day leadership of the pre-treatment service. This role ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of CT simulation, treatment planning preparation, and associated radiotherapy planning pathways. The position promotes patient-centered care and an excellent patient experience, while ensuring imaging protocols and simulation techniques meet agreed standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Pre-Treatment Superintendent Radiographer in the day-to-day leadership of the pre-treatment service.
  • Provide clinical and technical expertise to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of CT simulation, treatment planning preparation, and associated radiotherapy planning pathways.
  • Promote patient-centered care and offer an excellent patient experience.
  • Ensure imaging protocols and simulation techniques are delivered to agreed standards.
  • Supervise Senior Radiographers.
  • Support service development.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Contribute to the pre-treatment planning of complex radiotherapy techniques, including SABR.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and IR(ME)R regulations.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive clinical experience as a senior radiographer or Team Leader level.
  • Experience in Pre-Treatment/CT simulation.
  • Advanced knowledge of patient management systems.
  • Experience with Eclipse TPS and Aria is desirable.
  • IV contrast competencies.
