About the Role
Join our team at The Harley Street Clinic, rated "Outstanding" by the CQC, and specialize in oncology, cardiology, and neuroscience. This role involves working autonomously as a practitioner within the radiotherapy review team, providing specialist review services for patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment. You will collaborate with Clinical Nurse Specialists to assess and monitor patients, manage treatment side effects, offer expert advice, and coordinate care with consultants and the multidisciplinary team for a seamless patient experience. The position also supports patient education, service development, clinical governance, and audit activities, all while upholding the highest standards of patient-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Work as an autonomous practitioner within the radiotherapy review team.
- Provide specialist review services for patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment.
- Assess and monitor patients throughout their treatment pathway.
- Manage treatment-related side effects.
- Provide expert advice and support to patients.
- Coordinate care with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to patient education.
- Contribute to service development.
- Contribute to clinical governance.
- Contribute to audit activities.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient-centred care.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography.
- HCPC registration.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a radiographer.
- Some experience at team lead level is preferable.
- Radiotherapy review experience is desirable, but not essential.
