About the Role
Provide administrative support to clinical teams, ensuring patients are informed about appointments, billing, referrals, diagnostics, and ongoing care. This role combines front-of-house reception, clinical coordination, medical secretarial support, and administrative excellence to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide front-of-house reception services.
- Manage patient enquiries via telephone, email, and in person.
- Maintain patient records and databases accurately and confidentially.
- Support GPs with clinical notes, referrals, and correspondence.
- Process invoices and patient billing accurately.
- Assist in preparing and delivering health screening reports.
- Liaise with consultants, hospitals, and insurers to coordinate patient care.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
Requirements
- Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience in a corporate or healthcare environment.
- Private patient experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both in person and via telephone and email.
- Strong administrative, medical secretarial, and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
- A collaborative team player with a polished and professional approach.
- Flexibility to work early and late shifts.
