Responsibilities

Drive team goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that increase organizational efficiency.
Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail.
Understand industry and company-wide trends to assess and develop new technologies.
Partner and collaborate with organization leaders to improve team and organizational performance.
Identify new opportunities for the organization and influence appropriate personnel for staffing and prioritizing new ideas.
Lead long-term technical strategy and roadmap for large cross-company efforts.
Suggest, collect, and synthesize requirements to create an effective feature roadmap.
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive efforts to reduce technical debt.

Requirements

Programming experience in a relevant language.
Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps where short-term projects align with the long-term mission.
Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
Experience mentoring and influencing experienced engineers across organizations.
Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts.
Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions.
