About the Role
Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing professional workers’ compensation risk management services to assigned Comp Alliance members within their territory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct annual loss control safety inspections for assigned members.
- Attend member safety committee meetings.
- Conduct routine training programs for member employees.
- Produce occasional safety articles.
- Communicate with members regarding workplace injuries and safety programs.
- Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective improvements.
- Utilize computer programs for reporting hazards and generating recommendation letters.
- Decipher workers’ compensation injury reports.
- Collaborate with program team members, including Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing.
- Perform training for member employees using PowerPoint presentation materials.
- Conduct routine virtual training sessions using Microsoft Teams.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
- Possess a very good ability to communicate with professionals in the municipal and school district environment.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional telephone and video demeanor.
- Ability to travel freely by car, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
