About the Role

Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing professional workers’ compensation risk management services to assigned Comp Alliance members within their territory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual loss control safety inspections for assigned members.
  • Attend member safety committee meetings.
  • Conduct routine training programs for member employees.
  • Produce occasional safety articles.
  • Communicate with members regarding workplace injuries and safety programs.
  • Identify safety hazards and recommend corrective improvements.
  • Utilize computer programs for reporting hazards and generating recommendation letters.
  • Decipher workers’ compensation injury reports.
  • Collaborate with program team members, including Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing.
  • Perform training for member employees using PowerPoint presentation materials.
  • Conduct routine virtual training sessions using Microsoft Teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Possess a very good ability to communicate with professionals in the municipal and school district environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone and video demeanor.
  • Ability to travel freely by car, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
