About the Role

Cancer Research UK is seeking a collaborative and organised Volunteering Executive for a part-time, fixed-term role to support the delivery of key volunteering activities. The role involves providing resources, expertise, and driving improvements to create excellent volunteer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of centralised volunteering activity and business-as-usual initiatives that enhance volunteer experience and organisational efficiency.
  • Produce, maintain and improve volunteering resources, guidance and tools for colleagues across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes and support proposition objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and support on volunteering-related matters across Cancer Research UK.
  • Ensure volunteering activity complies with relevant legislation and Cancer Research UK policies and procedures.
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across all volunteering activity and contribute to wider organisational objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering a project, programme of work or defined area of responsibility.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience using insight, feedback or data to identify improvements and enhance audience or volunteer experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting information and writing proposals or business cases.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • A proactive, curious and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
