About the Role

Join our incredible and dynamic Legal Talent team in Toronto as a Legal Talent Coordinator. You will manage all aspects of the Associate and Law Clerk programs, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, training, secondments, off-boarding, events, and mentorship. This role also supports national processes, local student recruitment during peak periods, budget tracking, expense coordination, data entry, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support key Legal Talent initiatives locally and nationally.
  • Coordinate the lateral recruitment process, including application intake, candidate liaison, interview coordination, and offer letter preparation.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation planning for lawyers and Law Clerks.
  • Support social event planning, committee meetings, and engagement/gifting initiatives.
  • Assist with mentorship program initiatives, secondment processes, and off-boarding.
  • Coordinate performance review and compensation processes for Associates and Law Clerks.
  • Serve as a point of contact for policy and procedure inquiries for lawyers and Law Clerks.
  • Manage Workday tasks related to the Associate/Law Clerk lifecycle.
  • Handle invoices, reimbursements, expenses, budget tracking, meeting setups, and calendar management.
  • Utilize advanced Excel for people-related data analysis and advanced PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal talent or human resources experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Comfort dealing with all levels of the organization.
  • University degree or college diploma with a specialization in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Experience with HRIS software (ideally Workday).
  • Exceptionally strong Microsoft skills across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional project management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong service ethic, creativity, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands under pressure.
  • Ability to advance matters independently, using judgment and discretion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality of information.
