About the Role
This entry-level position focuses on maintaining the mechanical integrity of metal finishing equipment and managing water treatment processes for environmental compliance. It requires a hands-on approach with significant time spent on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of the wastewater treatment system.
- Conduct routine water sampling and testing to maintain environmental compliance.
- Safely handle, mix, and replenish treatment chemicals.
- Operate filter presses and manage hazardous waste collection.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on plating lines.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
- Identify and report workplace hazards.
- Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Utilize the company's ERP system to log completed work orders and track parts usage.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and climb as needed.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
