About the Role
The Central Product Analytics team enhances SumUp's understanding and improvement of the merchant experience. This role focuses on the Engagement domain, partnering with the Engagement product team to own merchant engagement, product activation, support responses, and navigation. It offers an opportunity to build measurement foundations and drive proactive, insight-led decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Define event taxonomies and measurement plans.
- Implement and QA tracking (GA4).
- Ensure analytics are integrated into new product features from inception.
- Build and maintain scalable datasets in Snowflake, including funnels, customer behavior models, and feature adoption metrics.
- Generate insights from datasets to inform product decisions.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests, defining success metrics and assessing statistical validity.
- Communicate A/B test results clearly to product and engineering stakeholders.
- Create and maintain intuitive dashboards and reusable query templates in Tableau.
- Partner with product managers to develop KPI trees and identify measurement gaps.
- Improve the quality and accuracy of engagement tracking across the domain.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data or Product Analyst with a strong track record of using customer behavior data to inform product decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing, optimizing, and validating queries, building data models, and participating in code reviews.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Postgres, or Redshift.
- Comfortable designing and analyzing end-to-end experiments, including A/B tests and feature flag rollouts.
- Solid understanding of statistical validity.
- Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
