About the Role

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and public-facing legal documentation.
- Structure contractual frameworks, identify legal and commercial risks, and provide business-oriented solutions.
- Support the design and launch of new travel products, booking flows, payment solutions, and commercial models.
- Advise on booking flows, ancillary products, customer journeys, and cancellation/refund mechanics from a legal and regulatory perspective.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design compliant business, contractual, and payment flows.
- Support international expansion initiatives, including market entry and regulatory assessments.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Advise on legal and regulatory requirements for online travel businesses.
- Advise on payment flows, merchant models, PSP integrations, and international payment structures.
- Lead implementation of regulatory changes and manage external counsel.
- Translate local legal advice into practical, scalable business solutions.
Requirements
- Qualified to practice law in England & Wales, the United States, or an EU Member State.
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience, including significant in-house legal experience supporting international consumer technology, digital platform, or travel technology businesses.
- Substantial in-house legal experience supporting an Online Travel Agency (OTA), bedbank, travel marketplace, travel distribution platform, or travel technology business operating internationally.
- Strong experience in international contracting, including agreements governed by common law and civil law jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of EU, UK, and US legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to online travel businesses.
- Experience supporting commercial and product legal matters across multiple European jurisdictions and North America.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex international legal matters and coordinate external counsel.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholders.
- Ability to assess, communicate, and mitigate legal risks in a practical and business-oriented manner.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
