About the Role

Partner with our Global Client Director to build and articulate a vision for LinkedIn’s long-term value for each of your clients. Expand our footprint by aligning LinkedIn’s portfolio of solutions (Talent & Learning) with the complex requirements of our largest global customers. Establish yourself as a peer and trusted advisor to senior-level economic buyers and develop a deep understanding of their business and market. Ensure effective utilization of LinkedIn Products and Solutions and provide compelling recommendations for additional investments and renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business objectives and macro environment, connect them, drive value and influence client business decisions.
  • Be the expert in knowledge of LinkedIn Solutions (Talent & Learning), communicate the benefits of LinkedIn’s solutions, features and enhancements to global clients.
  • Provide high-quality customer engagement activities on solutions clients are already invested in.
  • Multithread effectively, uplevel relationships, and engage with influence at Director+/DM level.
  • Build account plans for named accounts aligning with globally set strategy, identifying key decision makers, regional approach, buying processes, current investment, product utilization, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close all orders with the larger LinkedIn investment in mind and provide post-contract support to ensure product delivery and satisfaction.
  • Partner with the Global Client Director (GCD) and Global counterparts on named accounts to agree upon account goals, strategies, and tactics for growth, then build territory and account plans.
  • Be disciplined with forecast completeness and accuracy.
  • Be productive with time management and focus on what matters for impact.
  • Leverage executive relationships and executive sponsors to deepen LinkedIn’s relationships with clients.
  • Master the full sales cycle (including commercial milestones) with rigor and discipline, demonstrating thoughtful preparation and scaled repeatable processes.
  • Exhibit a “challenger” sales mentality to grow existing clients and for hunting new business growth.
  • Bring new ideas/innovation to broader account teams, challenge the status quo, be a continuous learner, and proactively generate business ideas and solutions.
  • Create a focused territory plan that drives regional business growth (existing & new business) and aligns to influence wins as per global strategy.
  • Partner with cross-functional partners effectively and leverage resources proactively and appropriately to deliver a client-centric approach, driving value during the full contract duration.
  • Lead with an open, collaborative, and customer-first partnership mindset in all communications and transactions with colleagues and clients.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the GCD to keep them updated on new opportunities.
  • Share successful selling strategies and lessons learned with the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Experience selling to EVPs, CXOs and end-users (in the same sales cycle) in both individual and team sales environments.
  • Experience closing new business accounts and managing existing accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate a plan to ensure deep penetration into global accounts.
  • Experience carrying a revenue target with the ability to develop compelling strategies that deliver results.
  • Demonstrated ability to find and manage high-level business in an evangelistic sales environment.
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others.
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers.
  • Ability to orchestrate the closure of business with an accurate understanding of prospect needs.
  • Ability to include multiple partners and members of the company management team using competitive selling to position company products against direct and indirect competitors.

Salary/Compensations

  • $213,000 to $325,000 OTE
  • Total compensation package may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
