About the Role

Another Star is seeking a proactive and curious Hotel Maintenance Engineer to transition the maintenance organization from reactive to preventive. This role is crucial for ensuring guest satisfaction through well-maintained hotel facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rooms are functional and undamaged for guest satisfaction.
• Inform the hotel team about room availability for sale.
• Provide technical support to the hotel team throughout the property.
• Be available on-call for emergencies.
• Manage and coordinate third-party subcontractors for preventative maintenance.
• Serve as the primary contact for building installation issues.
• Contribute to hotel safety by participating in water and fire risk assessments.
• Update the hotel team and supporting software on task status.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn new software programs.
• No 9 to 5 mentality; ability to handle challenges at unexpected times.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Collaborative spirit, working effectively with hotel staff and the Support Office.
• Passion for the work performed.

• All-round technical skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Basic computer software proficiency (email, Excel, Word).
