About the Role

Oversees and supervises the social services staff of the shelter, ensuring residents receive entitled social services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train Case Managers, Recreation Coordinators, and Housing Specialists.
• Deliver social services and entitlements to residents, including healthcare and mental health.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Housing Specialists, and Residential Aides on social service delivery.
• Provide supervision to Social Services staff, including hiring, firing, and performance evaluations.
• Act as a liaison with agencies providing social services to shelter residents.
• Represent the agency at interagency council meetings.
• Implement on-site programming, including parenting and housing readiness programs.
• Design curriculum for group work.
• Report to various regulatory agencies.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support to program staff.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work with applicable work-related experience.
• LMSW/LCSW preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, for complex and sensitive issues.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
