About the Role

The Loan Agency Operations Analyst will join the Global Corporate Trust Services team in London, managing a diverse portfolio of over 300 deals including leveraged, syndicated, commercial real estate, project finance, and direct lending loans. This role is crucial for managing the operational aspects of facility and security agency on these transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for Lenders and Borrowers.
  • Process drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixing, transfers, interest, and principal payments for a varied portfolio of deals.
  • Process Waterfall transactions.
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers to review and negotiate draft loan documentation from an operational perspective.
  • Manage the funding process for new transactions, including system set-up and new deal checks.
  • Manage the workflow for secondary market transfers, including signing transfer certificates, collecting fees, and updating loan systems.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to build waterfall calculations for specific transaction types.
  • Review waivers and amendments from an operational perspective and update systems.
  • Attend meetings with Relationship Managers to ensure understanding of Agent responsibilities.
  • Manage the receipt and distribution of financial information for the allocated portfolio.
  • Prepare deal summary documents for each transaction.
  • Provide data to maintain accurate transaction records in the system database.
  • Communicate with Borrowers, Lenders, and other parties on day-to-day issues and queries.
  • Liaise with systems vendors to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and check outgoing payments.
  • Manage external bank account set-up, online access, and administration rights.
  • Work with internal teams to streamline processes and provide continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Loan Agency function or 3rd Party Agent.
  • Proven documentation review skills.
  • Ability to deal with complex refinancing.
  • Ability to manage own workflow and cope with complex transactions.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple demands whilst maintaining attention to detail.
