About the Role

The Sales Assistant acts as a consultant, building a loyal customer base by understanding and meeting their needs with appropriate products. This role focuses on establishing rapport and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and exceed key company and personal KPIs.

  • Monitor sales details, including shipping and alterations, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Enhance sales techniques to drive sales.
  • Comply with all sales policies and procedures.
  • Support the store team to achieve goals.
  • Maintain interest in the fashion industry and market trends.
  • Undertake daily tasks as required by store management.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Handle customer inquiries quickly and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain a client book.
  • Capture new client information correctly in the POS system.
  • Resolve client problems and complaints effectively.
  • Keep the selling floor and product neat, organized, and stocked.
  • Assist in inventory maintenance in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
  • Assist with stock, shipping, receiving protocols, and related paperwork.
  • Participate in inventories.
  • Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures.
  • Execute all relevant register functions.
  • Adhere to work schedule, including time and attendance.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Help monitor store security through vigilant customer service and consistent application of changing room procedures and tagging.
  • Adhere to all internal audit processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a similar position for a premium or luxury brand.
  • Experience developing customer rapport to drive sales.
  • Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to meet company expectations.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Demonstrable relationship-building skills, able to collaborate and motivate peers.
  • KPI focused, with experience driving sales to meet or exceed commercial targets.
