About the Role
The Sales Assistant acts as a consultant, building a loyal customer base by understanding and meeting their needs with appropriate products. This role focuses on establishing rapport and providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Understand and exceed key company and personal KPIs.
- Build company and product knowledge to demonstrate to customers.
- Monitor sales details, including shipping and alterations, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Enhance sales techniques to drive sales.
- Comply with all sales policies and procedures.
- Support the store team to achieve goals.
- Maintain interest in the fashion industry and market trends.
- Undertake daily tasks as required by store management.
- Provide the highest level of customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries quickly and efficiently.
- Build and maintain a client book.
- Capture new client information correctly in the POS system.
- Resolve client problems and complaints effectively.
- Keep the selling floor and product neat, organized, and stocked.
- Assist in inventory maintenance in the stockroom and on the selling floor.
- Assist with stock, shipping, receiving protocols, and related paperwork.
- Participate in inventories.
- Comply with all Point-of-Sale policies and procedures.
- Execute all relevant register functions.
- Adhere to work schedule, including time and attendance.
- Participate in training and development programs.
- Help monitor store security through vigilant customer service and consistent application of changing room procedures and tagging.
- Adhere to all internal audit processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience working in a similar position for a premium or luxury brand.
- Experience developing customer rapport to drive sales.
- Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive and self-motivated to meet company expectations.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Demonstrable relationship-building skills, able to collaborate and motivate peers.
- KPI focused, with experience driving sales to meet or exceed commercial targets.
