About the Role

The License Practical Nurse (LPN) at US Urology Partners provides administrative and clinical support to practice providers, working independently and collaboratively with respect and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Directs assigned provider patient schedule.
  • Manages medication/script line, redirecting to RN, PA/NP, or provider for clinical assessments.
  • Completes company training and in-services, including OSHA and PPD placements.
  • Prepares exam rooms and equipment for procedures, assisting providers with patient care.
  • Greets patients, escorts them to exam rooms, and assists with personal belongings.
  • Accurately updates patient EMR charts with weight, vital signs, medications, and medical updates.
  • Ensures medical update forms are completed and charts are ready for providers.
  • Explains procedures to patients and addresses questions within the scope of practice.
  • Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies policies.
  • Reports adverse medication events to the supervising provider.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
  • Current state License
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least one (1) year of medical/surgical experience is preferred
  • Ability to travel to other Clinics as needed
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
