About the Role
The Maintenance Technician provides exceptional service to residents, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to deliver skilled, efficient, and professional maintenance. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property and offers a career track with potential promotion to Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, and appliances.
- Complete apartment turnover maintenance within three to five business days, including tasks like blind installation, filter changes, bulb replacement, and miscellaneous repairs.
- Conduct common area maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, pressure washing, and window cleaning.
- Monitor building exteriors for issues with the roof, siding, and shutters.
- Help maintain an effective preventive maintenance program.
- Assume responsibility for the safe condition of all equipment and structures.
- Enter new tools and equipment into inventory.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Observe all safety rules.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage.
- EPA certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of employment if required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to work on-call hours.
