About the Role
The Marketing & Communications Intern will support the business unit marketing team with activities related to business development, proposals, communications, and event coordination. This role provides hands-on experience across proposal development, content creation, and marketing operations in a fast-paced, project-based environment, contributing to both internal and external initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of proposals, presentations, and prequalification materials
- Support content development, formatting, and organization of pursuit materials
- Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand standards
- Draft and edit communications, including monthly newsletters, project updates, and marketing content
- Assist in building presentations and visual materials for internal and external audiences
- Conduct research to support pursuits and marketing initiatives
- Maintain and update marketing databases, including project profiles, resumes, and client information
- Support tracking of leads, opportunities, and project information
- Assist with planning and organizing internal and external events
- Support logistics, communications, invitations, and post-event follow-ups
- Assist with the development of marketing materials and graphics
- Support digital asset management and social media marketing efforts
- Help maintain brand standards across all materials and communications

Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable using Canva, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Interest in communications, business operations, or project environments
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Proactive and willing to jump in where needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Eager to learn and contribute in a team environment
- Performance of the required duties may require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands, talk, and hear.
- The employee frequently views a computer monitor and frequently uses a computer keyboard.

- The employee is regularly required to be mobile, and the employee regularly travels both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances.
- The employee regularly performs work on-site at construction work sites, office locations, and/or off-site venues.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
