About the Role

The Money Management Team is building Stripe Treasury, a business account offering services like storage, FX, payouts, yield, lending, and card issuing. This role involves leading engineers, solving complex problems, and collaborating with other teams to innovate and deliver large-scale technical efforts.

Responsibilities

• Enable the team to own and solve problems end-to-end across various systems, processes, and technologies.
• Support the engineering team in building experiences for businesses, from startups to global companies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
• Lead and manage processes to optimize team performance and engagement.
• Recruit engineers in collaboration with the recruiting team.
• Develop engineers on the team and support their career advancement.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience building and managing teams to ship high-quality products.
• Strong technical background as a contributor, including 4+ years of industry experience building user-facing products.
• Experience in designing backend services and full-stack experiences.
• Ability to work effectively cross-functionally, think rigorously, communicate effectively, and make or coordinate decisions and trade-offs.
• Thrives with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment.
• Technical acumen to drive clarity with senior engineers on architecture and strategic technical decisions.
• Encourages a healthy and inclusive work environment that is both challenging and supportive.
• Cares deeply about mentorship and growing engineers.
• Experience with financial product companies.
• Interest in financial products and markets.
