About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a Traffic Designer with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or a related field, or a post-graduate degree in transportation. This role offers an opportunity for an emerging professional interested in transportation engineering, planning, and design to gain experience and contribute to meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and design of transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, intersections, highways, and transit systems.
• Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic operations analysis, and capacity analysis.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun for traffic modeling, simulation, and design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transportation planning and engineering solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, project proposals, and presentations.
• Conduct field investigations and data collection, including traffic counts, signal timings, and travel time studies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices in transportation engineering and planning.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or a related field with a focus on transportation engineering.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering, planning, and design, demonstrated through coursework or related internships/academic projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with professionals from diverse disciplines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
