About the Role
The Service Training Coordinator develops and administers technical service training to internal and external service providers and end customers. This role focuses on improving service provider capabilities through updated training curriculum and delivery methods, aiming to reduce technician ramp-up time, improve first-time fix rates, shorten repair times, and decrease the need for second-level support.
Responsibilities
- Create a standard service curriculum for QVS.
- Develop module-based training for products, accessories, and technology.
- Adjust curriculum for new and retired products/technology.
- Develop syllabi for standard training offerings.
- Tailor classes to attendee skill sets and needs.
- Develop and utilize existing content for service training.
- Organize content for easy implementation.
- Organize subject matter experts to lead training sections.
- Administer training classes.
- Create a welcoming and engaging learning environment.
- Maintain an organized training area.
- Schedule classrooms, equipment, and calibration artifacts in advance.
- Ensure a proper mix of hands-on and textbook activities.
- Create and administer pass/fail tests related to class content.
- Provide training certification and maintain historical records.
- Maintain an employee skills matrix and technical knowledge development plan for QVS employees.
- Work with managers to establish plans for increasing employee technical knowledge and efficiency.
- Build relationships with representatives to encourage technician training.
- Provide consultative service support to others in the corporation as directed by management.
- Occasional travel to perform service training.
Requirements
- Experience and competency in engineering, organizing, problem solving, communication, quality control, training, and project management.
- A 4-year degree in engineering, technology, or physics, OR equivalent related experience.
- Good leadership skills through lead-by-example techniques.
- Good analytical skills for identifying problem areas and implementing creative solutions.
- Ability to work with teams, communicate effectively, and proactively eliminate obstacles.
- PC experience working with Microsoft products.
- Project initiation and project management capabilities.
- Ability to drive a car and travel domestically or internationally via air to deliver training.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and to work under and around machines in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hour shift).
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (8-hour shift) in an office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.

Salary/Compensations
- $55,000-$75,000 annually
