About the Role

As an IT Architect (w/m/d) with industry experience in energy companies, you will shape the energy transition and develop innovative solutions for digital transformation in the energy sector. You will bring your knowledge of IT system landscapes to a leading IT consultancy and develop future-proof IT architectures together with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and evaluation of existing application and system landscapes at grid operators
  • Development of holistic IT architecture concepts and technological target images for energy companies
  • Consulting clients on IT strategies, digital transformation projects, and system landscape modernization
  • Conducting workshops, interviews, and architecture reviews with clients
  • Close collaboration with functional and technical teams from offer to successful implementation

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or comparable professional experience in the IT sector
  • Experience in the energy sector, ideally with a transmission system operator (TSO) or distribution system operator (DSO) or a similarly regulated environment
  • Overview of typical application landscapes, IT architectures, or operational processes in the context of energy generation and/or energy supply
  • Strong ability to communicate complex contexts understandably and to engage different stakeholders
  • Ideally, knowledge in areas such as Enterprise Architecture, Integration Architectures, IoT, grid control systems, market communication, or cloud technologies
  • Very good German and English language skills
