About the Role
STV is seeking a Healthcare Project Manager for its PM/CM team in Westchester. This role involves managing Capital Program Management/Owners Representative assignments, representing owners and stakeholders, and leading project delivery for healthcare clients. The position focuses on managing design professionals and contractors for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio life science facilities, overseeing all project phases from budgeting to close-out.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team, set goals, develop policies and procedures, and mentor team members.
- Carry out assigned duties to achieve successful project/program completion.
- Lead cross-functional healthcare projects and initiatives with demanding resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and corporate quality standards.
- Monitor, evaluate, and develop project budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates, and review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
- Forecast, identify, and address areas of potential liabilities and risks.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships, and manage conflict resolution.
- Communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential concerns, and persuade others to facilitate successful project conclusion.
- Assist in the evaluation, development, and selection of standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 7+ years of Healthcare Construction project experience.
- Demonstrated history of managing a minimum of $10 million in healthcare or related construction types.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally.
- Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
- Knowledge and ability to supervise people, including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
- High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and Share Point.
- Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications.
- Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule, and budget.
