About the Role

The Senior Product Manager drives the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for a larger or more complex digital product domain, acting as a senior point of contact between business, engineering pods, Forward Deployed Engineers, and GT Labs. This role is crucial for translating business strategy into a prioritized plan of work and growing the Product and Business Analyst community.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a close, trusted relationship with the Digital Service Line Lead(s) aligned to your domain, co-owning the roadmap and prioritisation with them.
  • Translate service line strategy and OKRs into a prioritised roadmap and pipeline of bets, balancing quick wins against larger, higher-risk or higher-value initiatives.
  • Propose bets and recommendations for quarterly planning, building case or story of value vs effort to support prioritisation.
  • Identify and broker opportunities across product domains (e.g. service lines) so the same problem isn’t solved independently in parallel by different teams.
  • Management of demand channels across the business, end users, data analysis, to identify signals and opportunities.
  • Provide domain expertise and leadership of industry, market and regulatory trends within the given product domain.
  • Act as the conduit between the business and engineering, staying close to the overall delivery status, learning on other product colleagues, the engineering team and AI tools where appropriate.
  • Contribute to buy-versus-build decisions and RFP processes, surfacing demand signals and challenging where existing solutions aren’t working for users.
  • Support managing relationships with vendors on ongoing continuous improvements and influencing 3rd party roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Digital Service Line Leads and ‘GT Labs’ on higher-risk, higher-value bets.
  • Contribute to evolving the firm-wide Product Management operating model and ways of working as the function matures.
  • Support and/or refine user stories and acceptance criteria for requirements, supporting Business Analysts where needed.
  • Represent product in senior stakeholder forums, including SLT and cross-functional steering conversations aligned to a given product domain.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating at Senior Product Manager, Lead Product Manager or equivalent level, ideally within a complex, multi-stakeholder or matrixed organisation.
  • Track record of owning a product domain end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior business stakeholders to define strategy, OKRs and priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen — able to build a proportionate business case, quantify impact, and prioritise using an impact/effort lens.
  • Experience mentoring Product Managers or Business Analysts.
  • Comfortable working with data and insights teams to define, track and report on product performance and adoption metrics.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and using curiosity to shape the evolving op model and product strategy.
  • Skilled communicator and influencer, able to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders and hold a firm line where needed, for example on scope or prioritisation.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and modern product practices, including experience running or contributing to quarterly/roadmap planning cycles.
  • Genuine interest in and experience of AI-enabled delivery approaches as part of the product toolkit.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to influence without authority.

Skills

  • Experience of Claude for Business
  • Experience managing vendors on continuous improvement and change due to 3rd party roadmaps
  • Experience with market leading professional services software such as AlphaTax, DealCloud, InFlo, client portals etc.
  • Experience people managing other colleagues, supporting career progression and performance reviews.
  • Familiarity with engineering pod or forward-deployed-engineer style delivery models.
  • Comfortable with delivery metrics (e.g. burndown, velocity) to make informed decisions.
  • Proficient with software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
