About the Role

The Senior Project Manager drives partnership development and stakeholder engagement to advance New York City’s economic growth goals. This role spans various NYCEDC verticals and requires collaboration across internal teams and external partners. The Senior Project Manager also plays a central role in the International Portfolio, managing relationships with international stakeholders to attract businesses and foreign direct investment (FDI) to New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and tracking, and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage a portfolio of partnership programs, including the International Landing Pad Network.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including corporates, incubators, accelerators, academia, and workforce development organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support soft-landing services for clients.
  • Support the Vice President across the full partnership and procurement lifecycle.
  • Manage cross-departmental and cross-agency projects, ensuring objectives are achieved.
  • Draft and deliver presentations and memoranda for key stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to senior internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Represent NYCEDC at industry conferences, networking events, trade missions, stakeholder gatherings, and business meetings.
  • Support team efforts to develop local and domestic events and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including business development, communications, policy, and/or economic development.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects against competing deadlines.
  • Effective relationship builder with the ability to engage and build consensus with senior officials and business leaders.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools, including Microsoft Dynamics.
  • New York City residency is required within 180 days of hire.
