About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support network migration for a railway client, including configuration parameter input, adjustment, or modification on transmission technology management systems (UNEM and SOA).
- Manage the migration of new network elements (XMC2x) into the live network.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of transmission technology before and after migration from a central location (NOC).
- Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting.
- Oversee quality assurance, acceptance test management, and documentation of tests.
- Undertake tasks necessary for the smooth operation of transmission technology components.
- Create and ensure the quality of documentation for commissioning and operational management.
Requirements
- Completed degree in communications engineering, telecommunications technology, electrical engineering, or certified technician with several years of relevant professional experience in transmission technology.
- Proven, multi-year experience with common products, protocols, software, applications, and services for telecommunications, especially transmission technology.
- Excellent knowledge of current and emerging network technologies and experience with backbone technologies.
- Knowledge of the hardware market.
- In-depth knowledge and confident handling of protocols.
- Excellent knowledge and proven experience in classic telecommunication services, transmission techniques, and corresponding market-available technologies.
- High level of knowledge in conducting technical releases according to defined processes, referencing quality assurance methods (e.g., ISO9000).
- Knowledge of management protocols in the TK/IP/ÜT environment.
- Experience with processes and regulations.
- Knowledge of commercial/reporting systems.
- Knowledge of the organizational structure of EIU.
- Experience in preparing complex issues for management.
- Knowledge of TK planning / railway operational TK transmission technology.
