About the Role

Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to helping individuals change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. As a Substance Misuse Nurse, you will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, offering specialist clinical interventions to people affected by drugs and alcohol, helping to shape the vision for clinical service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake physical and mental health assessments for service users.
  • Signpost or refer service users to primary or secondary healthcare services for identified health issues.
  • Provide education, health promotion, and screening for blood-borne viruses (BBV).
  • Administer Hepatitis B vaccinations when indicated.
  • Contribute to CGL’s Naloxone Strategy.
  • Ensure procedures are regularly reviewed to promote best practice and evidence-based practice in accordance with UK Guidelines on Clinical Management, NICE guidance, and CGL clinical protocols and procedures.
  • Provide harm reduction advice to injecting service users, including information and equipment, and ensure safe disposal of all equipment.
  • Record and input client data and information.

Requirements

  • Must be a registered Substance Misuse Nurse.
  • Must be able to work flexibly to meet client needs, including late opening hours.
  • Must be able to wear designated company uniform while on duty.
  • Application must be written in the applicant's own words.
  • Post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.

  • £38,114.53 - £44,469.24 (CGL points 33 to 39)
  • Inner London Weighting: £4,236.47
