About the Role
The Project Development and Finance Practice advises clients on the legal and financial aspects of large-scale infrastructure and development projects, providing comprehensive support through all stages from initial planning to operation. The team offers expertise in structuring agreements, managing regulatory compliance, mitigating risks, and securing funding through various financial instruments.
Responsibilities
- Act for top-tier lenders and sponsors in project, corporate, and acquisition financing mandates within the energy infrastructure and resources sectors.
- Assist in the closure of project, corporate, and acquisition financing transactions.
- Support the coordination of internal teams across global offices to achieve transaction closure.
- Manage external counsels regarding local jurisdiction legal issues for transaction closure.
- Manage small teams to provide timely assistance and advice to clients.
Requirements
- Admission in Australia or a Common Law jurisdiction.
- PQE 4-7.
- Experience in general banking finance, with broad exposure to project, corporate, and acquisition finance, and syndicated and bilateral financings (secured and unsecured).
- Good knowledge of international finance law.
- Analytical skill to navigate contractual intricacies of complex, cross-border transactions.
- Highly organized and deadline-focused.
- Adept at managing multiple work streams and delivering flawless work within short timeframes.
- Collaborative and works well as part of a team.
- Builds strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and outside parties.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
