About the Role
As a Laboratory Team Leader at Johnson Matthey, a world leader in platinum group metals, you will help tackle global challenges by applying, refining, and recycling metals for a healthier and more resilient future.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legislative and local EHS requirements and behavioral standards for self and team.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Systems, particularly ISO17025, by all team members.
- Coordinate the activities of the Evaluation Team to provide a reliable analytical service with required accuracy, precision, and delivery times within budget.
- Comply with and ensure team compliance with best working practices and local reporting requirements.
- Encourage and train team members to develop skills and knowledge, monitor performance, ensure PDPs are produced, and engage in talent reviews.
- Support the assessment and management of individual performance and behavior against company standards, values, and legislation, including health capability, disciplinary actions, talent reviews, and performance management.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of effective leadership of people.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Experience of Analytical Chemistry.
- Experience working with performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO17025 requirements.
