About the Role

Partner Tech acts as a key gateway to Zalando’s brand ecosystem, building the infrastructure, digital interfaces, foundational data services, and AI-driven intelligence that enable brand partners to operate and thrive within Zalando's B2C marketplace. As a Senior Principal Product Manager (Head-level IC), you will act as the horizontal steward of our end-to-end digital partner journey, bridging complex backend capabilities, data products, and high-performing partner experiences, while architecting a next-generation AI platform.

Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end digital partner journey, identifying friction points and coordinating cross-functional efforts.
Define the vision and strategy for the central AI Platform, including building internal infrastructure like LLM orchestration, agentic frameworks, and RAG patterns.
Drive platform evolution, ensuring infrastructure is modular, extensible, and integrates with external partner systems via APIs and autonomous agents.
Oversee the roadmap for key central products, including the Partner Design System and foundational technical infrastructure.
Act as a bridge between Engineering and leadership, translating technical trade-offs into business narratives.
Coach and mentor junior product colleagues and become a key member of the product craft leadership team.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in high-scale platforms, SaaS, or Marketplaces.
Understanding of APIs-as-products, developer experience (DX), and building distributed platform services.
Technically firm in the Generative AI stack, with a deep understanding of LLM orchestration, Agentic workflows, and moving from AI experimentation to production-grade automation.
Expertise in driving alignment across complex organizations and managing high-stakes change management and strategic programs without direct line-management authority.
Ability to spar with Principal Engineers on architecture and system design, and discuss partner performance and scalability with commercial leadership.
Belief that enterprise software should be intuitive and advocacy for high-quality, consistent digital experiences.
