About the Role
This role accelerates business value by producing and setting up high-end ice sculptures, ice molds, and cocktail ice. The Production Operator Lead monitors product quality, completes daily production and quality logs, and demonstrates servant leadership with a continuous improvement mindset. This position utilizes lean principles and methodologies to facilitate process improvements and value creation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor product quality and completion of daily production and quality logs
- Production of large ice blocks for sculptures and cocktail ice
- Production of ice molds for special orders or events
- Production of cocktail ice using machines or manual presses/molds
- Packaging of ice products for delivery
- Safe operation and sanitation of high-speed production equipment
- Assist in setting up ice sculptures for events
- Report all accidents and injuries
- Cooperate and promote a team concept
- Adhere to all rules and regulations
- Meet or exceed company safety standards
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
- Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management
- Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics
- Maintain high safety standards
Requirements
- High School education or GED
- Will be required to obtain a Southern Nevada Health District Card (Food Handler Card)
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in one’s short term memory
- Ability to concentrate and perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment
- Ability to cope with sudden changes in surrounding and/or emergency situations and/or alarms
- Demonstrate a caring, committed and concerned attitude about safety
- Occasionally shut down the line when defects are noted or safety violations observed
- Must work in a safe and responsible manner to protect personnel and property
