About the Role
Northeastern University London seeks a part-time Lecturer in Economics (Teaching only) to deliver innovative and inclusive teaching in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and/or Statistics for Economists at the undergraduate level, primarily to international exchange students.
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative and inclusive teaching in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and/or Statistics for Economists at undergraduate level.
- Support a wide variety of students, including international and study-abroad students.
- Develop educational provision in Economics with a focus on student engagement and experiential learning.
- Integrate technologies into learning and teaching.
Requirements
- PhD in Economics or a closely related discipline, completed or currently underway.
- FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or in progress (desirable).
- Excellent ability to be adaptable, innovative, and inclusive in teaching and service.
- Teaching competency in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Statistics for Economists at undergraduate level (in particular level 4 / 1st year undergraduate).
- Experience of, or demonstrable ability to work effectively with, diverse student cohorts including international and study-abroad students.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK.
- Must undergo at least a basic DBS check.
